1102 GRAND has received a lot of requests to put together another networking event before our golf tournament in June, and we are happy to put the time and effort in to pull the event together. The limiting factor is the marketing budget it takes to put the events on (even with the tremendous support our sponsors offer). So this event will be co-hosted by Jennings Social Media, Polsinelli Shughart, and Tradebot Ventures who have graciously agreed to help faciliate the event and split the bill for renting the Boulevard Brewery for the evening. As in the past, we have several sponsorship opportunities to help pay for the food, prizes, etc. and provide the ability for your company to get your brand in front of 250 members of the Kansas City technology community.

In addition, while all of our other non-golf events have been free in the past, for this event there is a modest $10/person fee for an event ticket (all tickets need to be purchased in advance as the event will likely sell out). The reason for charging for tickets is two-fold: (1) to help cover the costs for the event and (2) to enourage people who register to attend to ensure the best turnout possible. Hopefully, everyone will agree that they will easily "get the money back" via the food and drinks not to mention the point of the evening - all of the networking opportunities.
